Hope this helps To overcome this situation, I chose CustomLayout with html template. through this way I got very easy control over my grid or in other word Table.
mylayout.html (VAADIN/themes/mythemes/layouts)
code :
<table class="tg">
   <tr>
     <td class="tg-031e tg-0ord">Key1</td>
     <td class="tg-031e" location="Key1_value"></td>
     <td class="tg-031e tg-0ord">Key2</td>
     <td class="tg-031e" location="Key2_value"></td>
     <td class="tg-031e" colspan="2" rowspan="9" location="image_value" style="width: 245px;">
       <img src="" />
     </td>
   </tr>
   <tr> ... </tr>
</table>
CustomLayout customLayout = new CustomLayout("mylayout");
customLayout.addComponent(new Label("Key1_value"), "Key1_value");

this one helps. After trying some things I came up with the following solution:
I realised that creating in advance an array with all the heights of the
  • it responds quick enough to update correctly the height of the .Jcarousel div.
    code :
          <script type="text/javascript">
                $(document).ready(function(){

                      // checking the height of the first element in the <ul>
                     var count = 0;
                     var count_max = $(".jcarousel li").length;

                     var alturas = [];

                      $(".jcarousel li div.cenario").each(function(){
                            var height = $(this).height();
                            alturas.push(height);
                      });

                     $(".jcarousel").css('height',alturas[count]);

                     // changing height when pressing the prev control
                     $(document).on("click",".jcarousel-control-prev", function(){
                        if (count == 0) {

                        } else {
                            count = count-1;
                            $(".jcarousel").css('height',alturas[count]);
                        }
                     });

                    // changing height when pressing the next control
                     $(document).on("click",".jcarousel-control-next", function(){
                        if (count !== count_max) {
                            count = count+1;
                           $(".jcarousel").css('height',alturas[count]);

                        } else {
                            // trying to update the counter when reach the last <li> element within the <ul>
                            count = 0;
                            $(".jcarousel").css('height',alturas[count]);
                        }

                    });

                });
            </script>

How to adjust the table height to the number of items in SWT with GridLayout?

it helps some times Use Table::getItemHeight() to calculate the necessary client height for the given number for items. Then use computeTrim() to compute the bounds for the given client height. if grid lines are shown the width of each separating line is added. And finally, you can use the heightHint of GridData to advise the GridLayout to reserve a certain height for the table.
For example:
code :
int clientWidth = ...
int clientHeight = table.getItemHeight * numberOfItems;
if( table.getLinesVisible() && numberOfItems > 0 ) {
  clientHeight += table.getGridLineWidth() * ( numberOfItems - 1 );
}
Rectangle bounds = table.computeTrim( 0, 0, clientWidth, clientHeight );

GridData gridData = new GridData( SWT.DEFAULT, clientHeight );

I wish this helpful for you It's better to put your code into something more universally used like JSfiddle or CodePen.
Since I don't have a Pastebin account and can't easily run the code, I'll take a guess. Based on what I can see here, because your nav is gaining the .fixed class with a fixed height: 50px;, you're not going to get the black background behind the menu because it's only 50px tall.
code :
$(function() {
  $('.navbar-toggler').click(function() {
    $('nav').css('height', 'auto');
  });
})
