Does that help Title may not make any sense but I dont really know how to explain this. I have a class called polynomial and lets say I defined a polynome called p1 which is 2x+4. What I want to do is calculate p1(5) directly. I dont want anything like double calculate (polynomial) etc I want to be able to calculate my polynom with p1(x). , Overload the function-call operator:

it helps some times Worked it out. The solution was to use a join hint, which forces the evaluation of the inner query before joining it to the larger table.
inner REMOTE join dbo.poAudit... etc

should help you out I want to evaluate an instance of some class in a boolean context. Or to be clearer, i want to define how the object reacts if its used directly in a boolean context. , Use an explicit conversion operator to bool:
code :
explicit operator bool() const { return (state >= 0); }

Xtend: evaluate expression directly from a string

Xtend: evaluate expression directly from a string

To fix this issue I think there isn't anything like this in Xtend, so you should probably look for Java libraries that do this.
For example Java EL seems like a good standard way for evaluating strings. Since EL 3 there is the ELProcessor which doesn't require JSP anymore and it seems quite easy to use:
code :
ELProcessor elp = new ELProcessor();
elp.defineBean("employee", new Employee("Charlie Brown"));
String name = elp.eval("employee.name");

I think the issue was by ths following , Background: , Eventually using CHOOSE in the .Evaluate did it for me:
code :
Dim lwr As Long: lwr = 2
Dim uppr As Long: uppr = 5

Dim shts As Variant: shts = Application.Evaluate("TRANSPOSE(""Sheet""&ROW(" & lwr & ":" & uppr & ")&""!A1"")")
Dim vals As Variant: vals = Application.Evaluate("TRANSPOSE(CHOOSE(ROW(1:" & uppr - lwr + 1 & ")," & Join(shts, ",") & "))")
