fixed the issue. Will look into that further This should work just fine. When you use ask, a lightweight actor (I believe represented by a PromiseActorRef) is created to represent the sender so that a response can be sent back that will complete the Future that is created via ask. A little example to show this in action. First the test actor:

it should still fix some issue I have the following scala code: , Either use:
!! <-- Returns a Future that you can wait for
code :
scala> def foo = { println(RNG.!?(1000,GetRandom)) }
foo: Unit

scala> foo
Some(-1025916420)

scala> foo
Some(-1689041124)

scala> foo
Some(-1633665186)

I wish this help you Table extends WidgetGroup extends Group. So Table is ultimately also a Group and actually Group is the one defining the addActorAt(int, Actor) method.
That being said, Table does not override this method, which is why it should not be used. Using it will not work. Instead use only the Table.add(...) methods and ignore the addActor... ones.

hope this fix your issue No, setting bounds updates the x and y of the Actor.
Each actor's x and y can be thought of as their local x and y, but their actual position on screen is the sum of their x and y and the x and y of every ancestor (owning Group).
code :
static final Vector2 TEMP = new Vector2(); //reusable to avoid GC

...

TEMP.set(targetX, targetY); //world(aka stage) coordinates of target position
myActor.stageToLocalCoordinates(TEMP); //subtract ancestor positions to get local target position
myActor.addAction(Actions.moveTo(TEMP.x, TEMP.y, duration));
What is the max number of actor instances for a given actor id for a given actor at any time in service fabric cluster?

To fix this issue There's one instance of one Actor, using one ID. Actor access is indeed 'single threaded access', so requests are queued up. (this answer is how it works) Actors are hosted inside an ActorService (stateful service), which has primary and secondary replicas. Actors themselves have no primary/secondary concept. ActorID determines the partition of the ActorService it's hosted in. Data is sharded across service partitions so no.

help you fix your problem There are quite a few SO answers with details about actor mechanisms and also in docs, I can point you a few:
This one does not exactly answer your question, but I described a bit how the locking works: Start a thread inside an Azure Service Fabric actor?
