it should still fix some issue Different browsers behave differently. I think Firefox is the strictest, only allowing popups directly generated in the same event loop as the onclick. In Chrome you can have an asynchronous call in between and it will still work. - At least that's what I recall from memory.
The thing is, you have little control over it. It's up to the browser to allow the popup, or not. You could develop some heuristics for each browser but that's not ideal.
code :
var a = function (f) {
    var my_window = window.open("");

var b = function (f) {

var c = function() {};

a(function (my_window) {
    my_window.innerHTML = "hello";
    b(function () {

I hope this helps you . Most probably the default MVC Model Binder will successfully extract the Route values so you can add POModel argument to your action method signature.
code :
public ActionResult editPOList(POModel model)

wish help you to fix your issue I have a telerik report project added to my website and I'm trying to pass a parameter to it but I receive the following error , Problem is that you are not providing parameters. Try changing:
code :
rpt.ReportParameters.Add("MemberID", "5");
string proc = this.ReportParameters["MemberID"].Value.ToString();
using System.Data;
using YourNamespace.StoredProcedureNameTableAdapter;

//Keep in mind StoredProcedureName is taken from SP name in your database
//when you add DataSet.xsd to your solution by default if you don't change anything

private void ClassName_NeedDataSource(object sender, EventArgs e)
   int someID = int.Parse(this.ReportParameters["ParameterID"].Value.ToString());
   StoredProcedureNameTableAdapter adapter = new StoredProcedureNameTableAdapter();
   DataSetFile.StoredProcedureNameDataTable data = adapter.GetData(someID); //DataSetFile is DataSetFile.xsd and GetData is method name you defined on DataSetFile.xsd creation
   ((Telerik.Reporting.Processing.Report)sender).DataSource = data.AsDataView();

I wish this help you You can use the OnClientItemsRequesting event: http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/dropdownlist-onclientitemsrequesting.html
Small example taken from the very article:
code :
function clientItemRequesting(sender, eventArgs) {
        var context = eventArgs.get_context();
        context["FilterString"] = "value sent to server";

I hope this helps you . Since you're using showAndWait(), all you need to do is define an accessor method for the data in the second controller:
code :
public class SecondController {

    private final Set<String> selectedData = new TreeSet<>();

    public Set<String> getSelectedData() {
        return selectedData ;

    private void addSelection (MouseEvent e) {
        // it almost never makes sense to define an event handler on a button, btw
        // and it rarely makes sense to test the source of the event
        if (event.getSource() == button){
           stage = (Stage) button.getScene().getWindow();

public void addValue(MouseEvent e) throws IOException {

    Stage stage = new Stage ();
    FXMLLoader loader = new FXMLLoader(getClass().getResource(2ndFXML.fxml));
    Parent root = loader.load();
    // I guess you forgot this line????
    stage.setScene(new Scene(root));

    SecondController secondController = loader.getController();
    Set<String> selectedData = secondController.getSelectedData();
    // do whatever you need to do with the data...
