I hope this helps you . Testing a class in a unit test is supposed to NOT be complex.
And the reason for this to be true is that in a well designed system, you can test that class in isolation, and do not add the complexity of the system behind that class - because that system does not exist during the test, it is mocked.

To fix this issue I have wrote an article about how to get it done launching phpunit unit tests from eclise pdt not using the external tools launcher but the phpunit.php script itself, look here:

it helps some times Okay I solved the problem. I changed all my paths to absolute paths. Changed all the includes to include_once because I redeclared certain classes and now it works fine.
Is there any difference in naming the PHPunit configuration file phpunit.xml.dist or phpunit.xml

wish helps you If phpunit.xml or phpunit.xml.dist (in that order) exist in the current working directory and --configuration is not used, the configuration will be automatically read from that file.
The idea behind the fallback (to phpunit.xml.dist when phpunit.xml does not exist) is that phpunit.xml.dist can be checked into version control and phpunit.xml can be ignored from version control. This allows a developer to use a custom configuration without running the risk of accidentally checking it into version control.

hop of those help? Writing test cases is an art. When you write test case it should be to the point, and well organised.
It should include information which is necessary. Test cases are not for only testers, if developer will not able to understand how he will solve the bugs.

seems to work fine They now recommend using ./vendor/bin/simple-phpunit which will be installed with phpunit-bridge: https://symfony.com/doc/current/testing.html
The first call to simple-phpunit installs some requirements.
