may help you . Your assumption is wrong. mysqli_real_escape_string’s only intention is to escape certain characters so that the resulting string can be safely used in a MySQL string literal. That’s it, nothing more, nothing less.
The result should be that exactly the passed data is retained, including ‘junk’. If you don’t want that ‘junk’ in your database, you need to detect, validate, or filter it before passing to to MySQL.

this will help What you want is some kind of "SLUGifying" the prhase into a URL, so it is SEO-friendly.
Once I had that problem, I came to use a solution provided in maddemcode.com. Below you'll find its adapted code.
code :
// casingchange-aeiouaeiou-takesexcess-spaces
System.out.println(slugify("CaSiNgChAnGe áéíóúâêîôû   takesexcess    spaces  "));
// these-are-good-special-characters-sic
System.out.println(slugify("These are good Special Characters šíč"));
// some-exceptions-123-aeiou
System.out.println(slugify(" some exceptions ¥123  ã~e~iõ~u!@#$%¨&*() "));
// gonna-accomplish-yadda
System.out.println(slugify("gonna accomplish, yadda, 완수하다, 소양양)이 있는 "));
public static String slugify(String input) {
    return Normalizer.normalize(input, Normalizer.Form.NFD)
            .replaceAll("[^\\p{ASCII}]", "")
            .replaceAll("[^ \\w]", "").trim()
            .replaceAll("\\s+", "-").toLowerCase(Locale.ENGLISH);
}

should help you out The files input.pdf and output.pdf the OP originally presented did not allow to reproduce the issue but instead seemed not at all to match. Thus, there was an original answer essentially demonstrating that the issue could not be reproduced.
The second set of files Test1.pdf and Test2.pdf, though, did allow to reproduce the issue, giving rise to the updated answer...

wish help you to fix your issue This works with a simple trick, called SwingUtilities.invokeLater
Simply change the line:
code :
System.out.println("new preferred: " + text.getPreferredSize());
SwingUtilities.invokeLater(() -> System.out.println("new preferred: " + text.getPreferredSize()));

Hope this helps It's not perfect, however, a nice option could be the phonetic() function from stringdist library:
code :
reprex %>%
 group_by(ID = phonetic(salesperson)) %>%
 mutate(salesperson2 = first(salesperson))

   day_ID sales salesperson   ID    salesperson2
   <fct>  <dbl> <fct>         <chr> <fct>
 1 1         10 Abby Davies   A131  Abby Davies
 2 2         13 Abby Davies   A131  Abby Davies
 3 3         14 Abby Davies   A131  Abby Davies
 4 4         19 Abby  Davis   A131  Abby Davies
 5 5         22 Abi Davies    A131  Abby Davies
 6 6          7 abby davies   A131  Abby Davies

it helps some times We could use cSplit from library(splitstackshape) to split the 'ID' column at /, by specifying the direction='long', we reshape the data from 'wide' to 'long' format. The output is a data.table, so we can use standard data.table techniques. We group by 'Name', and create another grouping variable ('ind') so that adjacent 2 elements fall into one group. In the next step, we group by 'Name' and 'ind', get the nchar of 'ID', substr the 1st element based on the max and min of nchar, paste it with the 2nd element (This is based on the example provided. If the values with less nchar appears first, we may have to use the which.max to select the element to be used in the substr ), concatenate (c) the first element, convert to numeric to create the 'ID' column.
