Seeking HTML5 audio element causes delay (breaks sync)

Seeking HTML5 audio element causes delay (breaks sync)

I wish this help you Fundamentally, there's no guarantee that elements will sync properly. If you really want audio to be in sync, you'll have to load the audio files into AudioBuffers and play them with BufferSourceNodes.
You'll find in some relatively straightforward circumstances you can get them to sync - but it won't necessarily work across devices and OSes, and once you start trying to seek, as you found, it will fall apart. The way wraps downloading, decoding and playing into one step doesn't lend itself to syncing.

will be helpful for those in need If you are serving your audio files via PHP for the HTML5 audio element and other players such as MediaElement.js, you need to include the following header for seeking to work:
code :
<?php header('Accept-Ranges: bytes'); ?>
if(file_exists($file)) {
    header('Content-Description: File Transfer');
    header('Content-Type: application/octet-stream');
    header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename='.$filename);
    header('Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary');
    header('Expires: 0');
    header('Cache-Control: must-revalidate');
    header('Pragma: public');
    header('Content-Length: ' . filesize($file));
    header('Accept-Ranges: bytes');
    flush();
    readfile($file);
    exit();
}

it helps some times Make sure the server accepts Range requests, you can check to see if Accept-Ranges is in the header. In jPlayer this is a common issue in Webkit (particularly Chrome) browsers when it comes to progress and seeking functionality.
You might not be using jPlayer, but the Server Response information on the official website may be of some use.

wish helps you The more experiments I do, the more rough edges I find in Android 2.3.3's implementation of the HTML5 audio tag. There's a lot broken there, at least on the Droid X phone I'm using for testing.
The best I have come up with so far is the band-aid alluded to in my original question: as soon as an invocation of play() completes, invoke the load() method, to prepare for the next play():
